Pricing Approach

How we price Toyota cars

We start with the current Hagerty Price Guide value for your year and model. We then layer in recent comparable sales from Bring a Trailer, RM Sotheby's, Gooding Christie's, and Mecum auctions. We adjust for mileage, condition, modifications, accident history, and service records. Finally we deduct our acquisition margin (typically 15 to 22 percent) to arrive at your offer.

The result is a real number you can compare against any other quote. In most cases our offer comes in 15 to 30 percent above Toyota dealer trade-in.

Common Questions

What Toyota owners ask first

Do buyers in your network buy cars with active liens?

Yes. We flag your lien to buyers up front, and buyers in our network who routinely handle financed cars will see the disclosure before they signal interest. The lien payoff and the balance wire are handled by the buyer directly, the same way any private-party sale handles them. Have a current payoff letter from your lender ready to speed up closing.

Do you only match in your city or do you cover all of your state?

We match across your state and across all 50 states. Buyer location matters far less than buyer interest, because buyers in our network arrange transport from wherever the car is. A seller in your city can be introduced to a buyer several states away, which widens the pool of qualified bidders compared with a single local dealer or a local classified ad.

Is Fast Auto Exit buying the car or just connecting me with buyers?

No. We facilitate introductions between sellers and qualified buyers and earn a match-making commission at closing. We do not take title, hold inventory, arrange transport, or handle vehicle payment funds. You and the matched buyer handle everything related to the sale directly, which keeps the price at private-party level instead of a dealer's wholesale bid.

How quickly can you match my Toyota with a buyer in your city?

Most Toyota listings in your city match with at least one qualified buyer in our network within 7 days of submission, and same-week introductions are normal. Our match-making team confirms fit within about one business hour of your submission and shares a written market read within 24 business hours. Speed after that depends on your asking price, the car's documentation, and how quickly you respond when a buyer signals interest.

What payment methods do buyers in your network use?

The buyer wires the funds to you. If you have a lien, the buyer can wire the lender's payoff and send you the balance on the same day. The payment method, timing, and any escrow are agreed between seller and buyer, not by us. Fast Auto Exit is paid through a separate Square invoice after closing, and we never hold vehicle payment money.

How does your service compare to a Toyota dealer trade-in?

A dealer trade-in on a Toyota is priced at wholesale so the dealer can recondition and resell it at a profit, which usually leaves a meaningful gap below private retail. Our matched buyers are mostly collectors and enthusiasts buying for themselves, so the price reflects private-party value. On a six-figure car that gap can be substantial, and you still get a written market read first.

Tell us about your car
The 17-character VIN is required so buyers in our network can verify the car's specs, title history, and recall status before signaling interest. Without a valid VIN we cannot match you with qualified buyers. The VIN is printed on the driver-side dashboard at the base of the windshield, on the door jamb sticker, and on your title and registration documents.
